What To Expect When You Hire Us For Attic Remediation Services. 

Wildlife can cause much more damage than what is visible from the attic access. Our attic remediation process is designed to address each step of the process contamination, damage, and potential entry points left behind by animals. Depending on the condition of your home, your project may include:

We Have A 6 Step Process To Renew Your Home Or Business

Step 1: Inspection

• First We Will Conduct A Comprehensive Site Inspection: This will cover both the outside of the home and the attic space. We are looking for potential entry points and damage to the structure.
• Next We Will Assess Damages: We will look for damage to insulation, latrine areas, chewed wiring, damage to ductwork, damage to soffits and soffit vents and damage to roof vents.
• We Document These Damages To Prepare Your Estimate: This process usually takes a few days to put together. We want to make sure we don't miss anything.
• Collecting Data To Prepare Your Estimate: We Will Take Photos, Measurements, Get The Current R-Value Of The Existing Insulation And Square Footage, And Get A Count On Soffit Vents, Note Damaged Soffits, And Count Roof Vents To Prepare A Remediation Estimate.
• Providing You With A Remediation Estimate: We typically send your estimate via email. If you do not use or have an email, we can mail your estimate to you to go over.
• Approving The Estimate: Once you have received your estimate and viewed it, if you have any questions, now is the time to ask them so we can make any changes if needed. If you open up the estimate from your email, you can approve the estimate directly from the email we send you. If you do not have email and we mailed your estimate, you will need to call our office and verbally approve the estimate we sent you.
• Once We Have Your Approval: We will schedule your work to be done and collect a material deposit if needed.
• Most Remediation Jobs Take 3 people 3-5 Days To Complete: The time it takes to complete a job is directly related to the difficulty of the job and the square footage of the structure.

Step 2: Animal Removal/Exclusion

After we conduct the inspection, the next step in this process is to determine if you have animals in the attic. If yes, we will need to get them out before we can proceed to attic clean up and remediation.

• Animal Removal/Exclusion: Depending on the time of year, we may be able to install exclusion devices to allow animals in the attic to exit and prevent them from getting back in. During this process we will have to monitor activity with cameras that may be placed inside the attic, outside near an access point, or both.
• Monitoring: Once we have established that there is no more activity in the attic and you are not hearing anything, the next step will be to animal proof your structure

Step 3: Repairing Entry Points And Animal Proofing Your Structure

• Repair damage to soffits
• Check for proper attic ventilation
• Install animal proof soffit vents 
• Install roof vent guards to stop future animal entry

Step 4: Removing All Accessible Contaminated Attic Insulation 

• Containment
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Reducing Risk Of Contaminants
• Assessing further damages upon completion of removal
• Air gap sealing
• Installing baffles if needed at soffit vents

Step 5: Sanitation, Odor Control, Pheromone Treatment, Treating For Parasites

• Once the contaminated insulation has been removed, we will sanitize your attic space.
• We will provide odor control treatments when possible (In extreme cases, contaminated sheetrock will need to be removed and replaced)
• Pheromone treatment
• Treat attic for parasites like fleas, ticks, and mites

Step 6: Add New Insulation

• We will install new loose fill insulation into your attic.
• Recommended R-Value for our region (R-38 to R-60) 
• Choose your preferred R Value and insulation type
